Personal Assistance
Personal Assistance is a support service which provides aid to a client so that the client can engage in activities and interactions from which the client would otherwise be limited or excluded because of his disability or disabilities. The assistance includes: (1) assistance in personal or regular living activities in the client’s home, (2) support in skill development, or (3) support and accompaniment of the client in regular community activities or in specialized treatment, habilitation or rehabilitation service programs.
Supervised Living
Supervised living is a 24-hour facility which provides residential services to individuals in a home environment where the primary purpose of these services is the care, habilitation or rehabilitation of adults who have mental illness, a developmental disability or disabilities, and who require supervision when in the residence.
(CAP Services)- Residential Supports
Residential Supports provides assistance with acquisition, retention, or improvement in skills related to activities of daily living, such as personal grooming and cleanliness, bed making and household chores, eating and the preparation of food, and the social and adaptive skills necessary to enable the individual to reside in a non-institutional setting.
(CAP Services)-Home and Community Supports
Home and Community Supports meets the support needs of individuals within their own homes by providing instruction and assistance to enable the individual to acquire and maintain skills that will allow him/her to function with greater independence in the community.
(CAP Services)- Personal Care Services
Personal Care Services provides support, supervision and engaging participation with eating, bathing, personal hygiene and other activities of daily living.
*NEW-Psycho Social Rehabilitation
Psycho Social Rehabilitation is provided in our Durham location and is designed to help adults with psychiatric disabilities increase their functioning so that they can be successful and satisfied in the environments of their choice with the least amount of ongoing professional intervention. PSR focuses on skill and resource development related to life in the community and to increasing the participant’s ability to live as independently as possible, to manage their illness and their lives with as little professional intervention as possible, and to participate in community opportunities related to functional, social, educational and vocational goals.
*NEW-Substance Abuse Outpatient
(SAIOP) is an intensive day treatment option for adults diagnosed with chemical addiction disorders. The curriculum incorporates chemical addiction treatments, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and other cognitive and behavioral health approaches. SAIOP groups meet 3 days per week for 3 hours per day.
*NEW-DWI/DWLR
We offer services of DWI and DWLR, to include evaluations and classes to satisfy requests from the North Carolina courts and DMV. Additionally, all our services are offered by professional staff persons that speak both English and Spanish. We offer 20, 30, and 40 hour classes.
